NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Nashville Electric Service says nearly 300 customers are still without power Wednesday in west Nashville after a wreck knocked down a set of utility poles.

The outage was reported shortly before 3 p.m., when initially more than 1,200 customers lost power after a wreck involving a Metro Water Services Truck and a wood chipping truck near the intersection of 49th Avenue North and Tennessee Avenue.

NES officials have not released any information on when they expect power to be fully restored.
