Nashville Fire Department battles a fire at Centurion Products on Van Buren Street.
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
More than 50 firefighters worked for about an hour Wednesday to get a three-alarm fire under control at a business in the Germantown area.
The fire was reported around 2:45 p.m. at Centurion Products, Inc. at 50 Van Buren Street.
The building is located in a dense industrial area. There are no homes around, but plenty of other businesses are close by.
Nashville Fire officials have not released any information on what might have caused the fire, but they say while their crews were inside the building, there was a propane tank explosion.
There were no injuries reported in the fire.
At the time the fire broke out, eight employees were inside the building, which is where the company manufactures rubber molding to use in imitation stone.
And despite the extensive fire, there was no damage to the company's warehouse or main facility.
