Neighbors tackle burglary suspect for police

LASCASSAS, TN (WSMV) -

Neighbors tackled a burglary suspect and held him until Rutherford County sheriff's deputies arrived about 4:30 p.m. Monday near Lascassas.

Victim Kyle Campbell and neighbor Stephanie Griffin of Valley View Drive returned home and saw a man running from Campbell's home. Griffin heard Campbell yell she had been robbed so Griffin chased the suspect and tackled him in a field.

Another neighbor, Tony Woodall, helped hold the suspect until deputies arrived.

Marcel A. Jefferson, 18, of Greenland Drive, has been charged with aggravated burglary.

Two other men got away in a white Pontiac.
