MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -
A home in Rutherford County was quickly destroyed by fire Tuesday morning after a woman at the home said she dropped a cigarette in the attic.
The house is located at 1305 California Drive, northwest of downtown Mufreesboro.
A woman at the home called the fire department saying she dropped the cigarette. The fire quickly spread, coming through the roof when firemen arrived.
The woman safely made it out of the burning home. One firefighter was transported to the hospital for elevated blood pressure.
