CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Clarksville city leaders presented special certificates to two Fort Campbell soldiers Thursday who are credited with assisting law enforcement in capturing suspected burglars last December.

Police say Joseph Demille caught and detained three teens Dec. 27 who were breaking into vehicles in his neighborhood until officers arrived.

The next night, Scott Puckett confronted and subdued a man he saw breaking into his car. That man was later charged with four other vehicle burglaries and fraudulent use of a credit card, police said.

Mayor Kim McMillan presented Demille and Puckett with certificates at the Clarksville City Council meeting for their actions.
