600 gallons of fuel spill at Old Hickory Lake

MOUNT JULIET, TN (WSMV) -

State officials say some 600 gallons of gasoline was spilled Thursday morning near a marina at Old Hickory Lake.

The spill was reported around 10:15 a.m. when a tree fell onto a set of gas pumps, causing the 93-octane fuel to spill onto the lakeshore, according to the Department of Environment and Conservation.

Some of the fuel seeped into the water, but TDEC officials say the spill is now completely controlled.
