Pedestrian struck, killed on I-65 near White House

WHITE HOUSE, TN (WSMV) -

A man who was walking along Interstate 65 in Robertson County was struck and killed by a car Wednesday night.

The northbound lanes were closed for about an hour near Exit 108 near White House after a vehicle hit James A. Jernigan Jr., 46, of Orlinda, TN, around 9 p.m.

Jernigan Jr. died at the scene.

The driver, Mary E. Hartley, 31, White House, TN was not hurt. No charges or citations have been issued.
