NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Metro Police have arrested a man they said is suspected of committing several acts of armed robbery at area businesses over the last several months.
Bobby Reece Putman, 58, of East Nashville, was arrested Wednesday after he robbed the Waffle House restaurant on McGavock Pike near the Opryland Hotel.
Police said Putman was arrested after a Metro Parks officer reported witnessing his vehicle in the Hermitage area, and he was placed into custody without incident.
Putman admitted to at least five robberies, and charges are expected to be filed in several others that date back to November 2011, police said.
He is now jailed on $225,000 bond.
Police believe Putman is responsible in the following armed robberies:
- Waffle House at 2727 McGavock Pike on Feb. 15.
- Subway restaurant at 3860 Dickerson Pike on Feb. 8.
- Subway restaurant at 3860 Dickerson Pike on Feb. 13.
- Hair World at 500 Gallatin Pike on Jan. 30.
- Deals at 3409 Gallatin Pike on Jan. 24.
- Variedades Latino Market at 4120 Gallatin Pike on Jan. 19.
- Value Vet at 4602 Gallatin Pike on Jan. 16.
- Sara Lee Bakery at 4801 Gallatin Pike on Dec. 22.
- Portland Brew at 1921 Eastland Avenue on Dec. 19.
- Madison Inglewood Market at 4702 Gallatin Pike on Dec. 13.
- Castrillo's Pizza at 1404 McGavock Pike on Nov. 29.
- Portland Brew at 1921 Eastland Avenue on Nov. 18.
