Whole Foods - Game Day Chili

Game Day Chili

2 pounds 90% lean ground beef

1 cup chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, diced

1 large can 365 Everyday Value® brand crushed tomatoes

3 cups 365 Everyday Value® brand low sodium black beans, rinsed and drained

1 can green chilies

1 tsp. black pepper

1 TBS. chili powder

1 tsp. salt


Brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain and add to crock pot along with remaining ingredients.

Allow to cook for 6 – 8 hours.  It is not necessary to stir until almost done. Do a taste test on the seasonings during the last hour of cooking, and adjust if necessary.  You may increase the heat by adding more pepper, fresh jalapeno or a hot chili powder. Serve in bowls with shredded cheese, sour cream and tortilla chips.
