Blaze destroys Nolensville home

NOLENSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Two people in Nolensville lost their home to a fire early Sunday morning.

According to volunteer firefighters, the blaze broke out around 2 a.m. on Burke Hollow Road.

They said the fire started near the fireplace, and one person living inside of the house tried to put it out before flames began to spread.

The resident got out safely, but crews had trouble putting out the fire due to an older structure the house was built on.

It took firefighters two hours to gain control of the blaze, and no one was hurt.
