Clarification: Houston County story on teen pregnancy

Channel 4 wants to clarify some information in a story we aired recently about teen pregnancy.

It was a story that brought some strong reaction from viewers in Houston County.

Our report was based on numbers from 2009 that put Houston County fourth in Tennessee for pregnancies in 15 to 19-year-olds.

Some viewers pointed out, rightly so, that we didn't have the most current numbers available.

The newer data paints a very different picture.

For the record, 2010 numbers show Houston County's pregnancy rate at five percent in that age group.

That is below the state average for teen pregnancies.
