Guns and heroin seized from residence on Saturn Drive (Metro Police)
Jose Aguilar-LopezMetro Police have arrested a man they said is at the center of a local heroin distribution ring.
Carlos Jimenez-Aguilera, 22, was arrested Wednesday on ten felony counts of heroin sales.
Police said Jimenez-Aguilera's base of operation was inside a home in the 1000 Saturn Drive, and officers arrested another man at the residence when they served a search warrant.
Jose Aguilar-Lopez, 38, was charged with felony heroin possession, unlawful gun possession and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
After Jimenez-Aguilera's arrest Wednesday, 13 people attempted to place orders for heroin, police said. Undercover officers responded to the orders and issued each of the 13 people with state misdemeanor citations for attempting to possess heroin.
One person was also charged with prostitution after she said she had no cash, but would exchange sex for heroin, police said.
Police have seized ten ounces of heroin with a street value of approximately $50,000, three vehicles, three pistols, one rifle, $3,900 in cash and $3,000 in electronics.
