CADIZ, KY (WSMV) -

Cadiz Police said a student got so confused he couldn't find his classroom while under the influence of synthetic marijuana.

Officers said the 17-year-old Trigg County High School student was in possession of a pipe and a small amount of a drug called H-7.

Police cited another 18-year-old student for smoking the drug in the school bathroom with him.

Christopher W. Sumner, 18, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in a synthetic cannabinoid and third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

Police said the synthetic materials are marketed as potpourri and incense but are illegally used like marijuana.
