Metro police seek gunman in robbery near market

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro Police detectives are searching for a suspect they say robbed a man early Friday outside a north Nashville store.

Police say the suspect approached the victim just after midnight near the Village Market at 4404 Tennessee Ave. and demanded his cash at gunpoint.

The victim complied, and the suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, around six feet tall and weighing approximately 200 lbs.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect from the surveillance image is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
