Felon arrested after fatal Madison apartment shooting

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro Police arrested a convicted felon who is suspected of being involved in a fatal shooting last month at a Madison apartment complex.

Antonio Flenoy, 24, was apprehended by SWAT officers Friday as he hid in the restroom of a unit at the Rodeway Inn on W. Trinity Lane.

Flenoy is accused in the Jan. 20 shooting death of 21-year-old Tashelle Vaughn.

Flenoy is charged with criminal homicide.

The shooting occurred inside Vaughn's apartment in the Charter Village complex on Rio Vista Drive.

Police say Flenoy knew Vaughn, and he and another woman were visiting at the apartment when the shooting occurred.

Vaughn died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and police say Flenoy fled the apartment after the shooting.

Flenoy was on probation at the time of the shooting after a conviction for selling cocaine and unlawful gun possession in 2009.
