NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Interstate 24 East in Clarksville is back to normal after a tractor-trailer ruptured its fuel tank Wednesday morning, spilling 60-100 gallons of diesel on the roadway.

Real Time Traffic

The problem occurred just past the Rossview Road exit at about 4:50 a.m.

A second tractor-trailer later slid on the fuel, skidding off into the grass and leaving a large rut of mud, before plowing through a speed limit sign.

No one was hurt in either incident.

Traffic had to be diverted to Rossview Road until the area was cleaned up.  Both lanes were open by 1 p.m.
