Kroger to close Elysian Fields store

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

One neighborhood Kroger store is going to soon close its doors.

The Kroger at 3955 Nolensville Rd. is closing within the next few weeks.

A company representative tells Channel 4 the decision is based on slow sales at the location and several other Kroger stores are within a short drive.

The closure affects about 60 employees, and the company says it will try to transfer those employees to other stores.
