The Metro School Board gave the green light Tuesday to sell the naming rights of a school academy to Gaylord Entertainment Company.
Board members unanimously approved the approval to give Gaylord the exclusive naming rights to the Academy of Hospitality at McGavock High School.
In exchange, Gaylord will give the school $100,000 worth of donations, including field trips and volunteer hours.
Antioch High School teamed up with The Tennessee Credit Union in 2010 for the first business partnership involving naming rights at a Metro high school academy.
