Fire chief suspended over use of department phone

SPRINGFIELD, TN (WSMV) -

A local fire chief is on suspension because of his phone bill.

Maynor Schott is the chief in Springfield, and the city manager says Schott is currently serving a five-day suspension after racking up bills for personal calls made on his department phone.

Schott has reportedly reimbursed the department, but the amount of money involved isn't clear.
