Amazon to add jobs at East Tennessee facilities

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WSMV) -

Amazon's success means more jobs for Tennessee. The online retail giant is planning to expand its Chattanooga distribution center later this year.

When the move is completed, the company will need to fill about 2,000 positions at its facilities in Chattanooga and Bradley County.

You can thank online shoppers and demand for Amazon's most recent expansion, officials say.

Amazon is also working on building distribution centers in Rutherford and Wilson counties.
