Family with three young children escapes fire in South Nashville

A family with three small children escaped the fire that destroyed their home in South Nashville Sunday morning.

The fire was reported around 9 a.m. on Strasser Drive near Nolensville Pike.

One person in the home suffered second degree burns but did not require hospitalization.

Firefighters said the home is a total loss. The family told Channel 4 they do not have house insurance.
