NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Interstate 40 in Wilson County has reopened after being closed for over 12 hours because of a tractor-trailer wreck, and now the truck's driver has been charged.

Officials said the truck was carrying about 40,000 pounds of potatoes when it lost control and overturned around 8:30 p.m. Thursday near mile marker 244.

The load spilled onto the roadway when a wrecker later attempted to right the truck, and the roadway began to reopen around 9 a.m. Friday.

The truck's driver, Roy Golden, 55, of Knoxville, was arrested and charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, and drug possession.

The interstate's eastbound lanes were all closed east of Lebanon for most of Friday morning.

Traffic was diverted off of the interstate at exit 239, and re-routed back on exit 245.

The Highway Patrol dispatch said no one was injured in the crash.
