The fight over a crematory in Spring Hill looks far from over.
Last month Spring Hill's Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted down a crematory proposal from the Spring Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
Aldermen responded to resident concerns about mercury poisoning, even though the city's environmental research said it wouldn't post a threat.
Our new partners at The Daily Herald in Columbia reported that the funeral home is preparing a lawsuit.
Pam Stephens, one of the owners of the funeral home based in Franklin, told The Daily Herald she believed eight members of the board broke the law and didn't follow professional and legal advice when they voted against the proposal.
