4 Antioch High students arrested in home burglary

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Four juveniles were arrested Monday after Metro police say they burglarized a home on Barclay Square during school hours.

Police say witnesses saw the teens, two 15-year-old boys, a 17-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl, break into a home in the 4800 block of Hickory Highlands Drive and then flee.

While checking the neighborhood, police spotted a silver 2008 Mercedes C350 sedan with the trunk lid up backed into a driveway in the 4700 block of Volunteer Drive.

Officers determined the vehicle had been reported stolen by its owner Friday, so officers knocked on the door of the Volunteer Drive home.

After some 30 minutes, one of the 15-year-old boys answered the door, and the other teens were found inside the residence. Two of them were hiding in closets when police arrived.

Police say the teens are all Antioch High School students. All four teens are charged with auto theft and loitering during school hours, and the three older teenagers are also charged with aggravated burglary.

Police are working to determine whether they are involved in any other home break-ins.
