Victim in Music Row hit-and-run dies from injuries

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A man injured after being hit by a car near Music Row early Saturday has died.

Jeffrey Brooksher died around noon Monday at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Tommy Allen remains in critical condition.

Brooksher and Allen were critically injured around 2 a.m. on Demonbreun Street near the Music Row roundabout.

Metro police told Channel 4 News that a Scion driven by Trevor Collin Bradshaw hit the two pedestrians and a taxi head-on while crossing into oncoming traffic.

Three people in the taxi were treated for minor injuries.

Police say Bradshaw fled the scene after the wreck, and he was arrested later Saturday after surrendering at Metro Police Headquarters.

Investigators say Bradshaw refused to talk with them about the crash.

Bradshaw's girlfriend, 21-year-old Erin Brown, is also facing charges in the case.

Detectives say she's responsible because she allowed Bradshaw to drive under the influence.

On Tuesday, Bradshaw and Brown were each charged with one count of vehicular homicide by intoxication. Both were charged with two counts of felony vehicular assault after the accident.

Family and friends have organized a fundraiser benefit car show and auction for Saturday, Dec. 17. It will be held at the Lewis-Martin Park in Greenbrier from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
