NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police have arrested two juveniles and are searching for a third after they allegedly tried to rob two women Tuesday in north Nashville before speeding off and causing a chain-reaction crash.

Portions of Brick Church Pike were closed while police investigated the multiple-vehicle crash near Trinity Lane around 3 p.m.

Police say the juveniles, whose identities were not released, had attempted to rob a young woman as she was getting groceries out of her car on Willow Trace Drive. She refused, and the suspects drove away.

Police say the three then attempted to rob another woman on Capps Drive. As the second victim drove away, the suspects fired a shot at her car which struck the rear window.

The suspects then caused three vehicles to wreck on Brick Church Pike. No serious injuries were reported.

Police arrested one suspect, a 14-year-old, who remained in the car after the wreck. The other two fled, and one, a 17-year-old was soon captured and arrested.

Police describe the third suspect who is still on the run as a young black male with dreadlocks, last seen wearing a maroon hoodie pullover.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect who remains at large is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
