The Nashville Electric Service wants the public to be aware of con artists posing as NES employees asking for money or trying to get inside homes.
NES says all their field employees wear uniforms and carry photo ID badges. All of their vehicles are marked with an NES logo.
Under no circumstances are NES field employees allowed to take cash from customers for an electric bill or any type of work they perform.
NES said the con artists will usually target the elderly.
