Top country music acts perform at White House

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted some of country music's biggest names at an event to celebrate their genre Monday night.

The event was titled "Country Music: In Performance at the White House.

Alison Krauss sang the Keith Whitley classic "When You Say Nothing At All"

Lyle Lovett, Kris Kirstofferson, Darius Rucker, The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley all performed.

The show will be broadcast on PBS Wednesday at 7 p.m.
