Gay Straight Alliance of Nashville holds first meeting

Posted: Updated:

Members of the gay and lesbian community now have a place to go in Nashville where they can find support and fellowship.

The new Gay Straight Alliance of Greater Nashville hosted their very first meeting Saturday, at OUTCENTRAL on Church Street downtown.

Organizers say this is the first community GSA in the United States, as most GSAs are only offered in schools.

While the group is open to everyone, they cater to Nashville residents under 25.

The group's next meeting is set for January 21 at 2pm.
