NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Occupy Nashville representatives protested the Nashville visit of former U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld Thursday night.

Rumsfeld was in town to promote his new book and to raise money at a dinner event for conservative groups.

During the fundraiser, at least four protesters interrupted Rumsfeld's speech before being escorted out.

Protesters said that Rumsfeld misled the public to justify war and that he is responsible for the deaths of more than 6,000 American troops.
