The nephew of former University of Tennessee football coach Phillip Fulmer is in stable condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center after police said he was purposely burned with hot oil by his wife.

Franklin County officials said Jason Martin's wife threw the pot of oil on him sometime on Saturday.

He was taken to the Vanderbilt Medical Center burn unit in Nashville where he's listed in stable condition.   Martin suffered third-degree burns on his arms and torso.

His wife, Mary Annette Martin, has been charged with domestic violence and aggravated assault.  She bonded out of jail Sunday afternoon.

She has reportedly told police that her husband cheated on her in May and that was why she attacked him.
