Clockwise from Top Left: Clark, Johnson, Meeks, Prater
McMINNVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Four Warren County women were arrested and charged in prescription drug fraud after allegedly selling prescription drugs that had been paid for with TennCare public healthcare insurance benefits.
Robin Chiffon Guzman Johnson, 30, Sherry Lynn Clark, 39, and Becky Renee Prater, 42, of McMinnville and Andrea Denea Reeves Meeks, 35, of Morrison, are accused of using TennCare to obtain pain medication then selling the medication to an undercover agent.
Johnson, Clark and Meeks are each charged with one count of TennCare fraud and one count of delivery of a controlled substance. Prater is charged with two counts of TennCare fraud and two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
"Prescription drug fraud is a problem that touches all of our communities, but we've made it tougher for people to get by with it by using TennCare," Inspector General Deborah Y. Faulkner said in a statement.
If convicted, the women could serve up to two years for the TennCare fraud charge and up to four years for delivery of a controlled substance.
