NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Fifteen residents of a Nashville apartment complex are suing Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers over what they say were violations of their constitutional rights during a raid last year.

The suit was filed in federal court in Nashville on Wednesday by the American Civil Liberties Union. It claims ICE officers, along with local police, entered plaintiffs' homes without warrants, consent or probable cause.

It further alleges the raid was part of a conspiracy with the owners of the Clairmont Apartments to rid the complex of Latinos. All but 1 of the plaintiffs are Latino.

The suit seeks an unspecified amount of compensatory damages.

ICE did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Metro's deputy legal director said it is policy not to comment on pending litigation.
