Couples raising money for adoption in 84-mile yard sale Saturday

FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -

One stop along an 84-mile yard sale route in Williamson and Maury counties will help two families become whole.

Dozens of sales are planning Saturday along the Old Tennessee Trail, which twists through Franklin, Leiper's Fork, Columbia, Mt. Pleasant and several small communities along the way.

One sale is being put on by two Williamson county couples who are raising money to complete the adoption process to bring children home from Africa.

Nina and Frazier Dyson are raising money to cover the price of an international adoption, which can climb as high as $30,000. The first-time parents plan to adopt two children from Uganda.

"Words can't even describe," Nina Dyson said. "We are just beside ourselves waiting for their arrival."

The Multi-Family Adoption Yard Sale will be held at the West Harpeth Primitive Baptist Church at 4141 Columbia Pike on Saturday from 7 a.m. to dusk.
