Teacher on probation for child abuse arrested

GALLATIN, TN (WSMV) -

A Sumner County teacher on probation for child abuse is facing new charges.

Donna Weidenbenner taught special education at Station Camp Elementary in Sumner County until she was indicted for child abuse.

Parents claimed she shoved and kicked students and even tied one child to a toilet three years ago. She eventually pleaded no contest to the allegations.

Weidenbenner was sentenced to six years probation but was arrested recently for some sort of violation.

It's not clear yet what she might have done to be arrested again.
