TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Rolling Alabama needs only point to last season's stumbles to stay grounded.
For the second straight year, the second-ranked Crimson Tide is 5-0, coming off wins over Arkansas and Florida and looking practically invincible. Last season, Alabama promptly lost to South Carolina and twice more in games that slipped away in the fourth quarter.
Alabama hosts Vanderbilt Saturday.
As tailback Trent Richardson says, "We let it get away from us last year." They're trying not to do the same thing with Vanderbilt visiting Saturday.
The Tide has pounded the Razorbacks and Gators by a combined 76-24 the past two weekends and shut down high-powered offenses.
So far, there haven't been any fourth quarter lapses. Alabama has outscored opponents 45-8 in the fourth and outrushed them to the tune of 639-59 yards.
