KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -

A judge in Knoxville has formally accepted the guilty pleas of a former teacher who shot two elementary school administrators last year.

Criminal Court Judge Bob McGee on Monday set a sentencing hearing of Nov. 3 for Mark Stephen Foster, who pleaded guilty in September to attempted murder and gun charges in the February 2010 shootings of principal Elisa Luna and assistant principal Amy Brace inside Luna's office, according to The Knoxville News Sentinel.

The shooting occurred after Foster was told his contract as a fourth-grade teacher would not be renewed.

Both victims have returned to Inskip Elementary School. Luna now uses a wheelchair.
