Gang member sentenced in Nashville to 8 years

A Bloods gang member has been sentenced in Nashville to eight years in prison after admitting to planning violent crimes at a gang resistance center.

A judge sentenced Antonio Washington to eight years in prison and another 5 years on supervised probation.

Federal prosecutors said Monday that Washington, 22, of Nashville and other gang members beat a man in the backyard of the Galaxy Star Drug Awareness and Gang Prevention Center.

One of the founders of that center, Lonnie Greenlee, also pleaded guilty to helping to plan gang violence there.
