Suspect arrested, another sought in north Nashville shooting

Posted: Updated:

A man has been charged with attempted criminal homicide in a Wednesday shooting that left one man injured.

Trent Hull, 19, is accused of being involved when Marquicious Bailey was shot in the leg at the 1700 block of 16th Avenue North.

Bailey told police he was standing on a sidewalk talking to a friend when a gold or tan Nissan Altima pulled up with four men inside.

One of the passengers, Hull, and a second man Kadeem Smith, 20, allegedly threatened Bailey before shooting him, police say.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Smith, who is free on a $25,000 bond for an August robbery in which he allegedly punched a woman before stealing her purse.

Hull had been free on a $45,000 bond for cocaine possession.

Anyone with information on Smith's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
