Legendary Georgia radio announcer recovering

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - The former Georgia play-by-play radio announcer is recovering from a respiratory infection.

Georgia spokesman Claude Felton says Friday that Larry Munson was in stable condition.

Munson ended 43 years as the radio voice for Georgia football games in September 2008.

He is known as one of the legendary college football broadcasters.
