MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -

A juvenile court judge in Memphis has ruled that a 16-year-old charged with fatally stabbing the principal of a Christian school should be tried as an adult.
Special Judge Herbert Lane decided Wednesday that Eduardo Marmolejo should be transferred to adult court and held without bond. A grand jury will determine whether to indict Marmolejo.
The teen is accused in the slaying of Suzette York in a classroom Aug. 10 at Memphis Junior Academy on the third day of classes. In his opening statement, state prosecutor Reggie Henderson said Marmolejo stabbed York nine times.
Earlier Wednesday, psychologists for both sides gave conflicting testimony about the teen's competency.
