NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Nashville inmate who walked away from a work detail last week is in custody in Texas.

Jacob Foster, 28, was arrested late Monday night at a home in Pflugerville, Texas.

Police say they found him hiding under a mattress with a bag of money from a bank robbery earlier in the day.

Last week, Foster ran away from corrections officers while picking up trash on the side of I-440.

He was serving a 23-year sentence for several theft and burglary convictions in Sumner County.

Now, Foster faces a robbery charge in Travis County, Texas.
