Metro Action Commission changing locations

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Metro Action Commission, where lots of people go to get help with bills or items like a free air conditioner, is closing for the rest of this week.

The agency will be moving from its Salemtown location to a downtown building on Second Avenue.

It will take a few days to get resettled, so officials are closing the doors until the move is complete on Monday.

Metro Action has been in its current building for 25 years, and workers say it's time for change.

"We have outgrown the space," said Lisa McCrady, with Metro Action Commission.

Services will resume on Monday in the new building downtown.
