Families of missing Shelbyville residents organizing search

Posted: Updated:

The families of three missing people in Shelbyville are praying for closure. And now their pain is uniting them to help find their missing loved ones.

Families and friends of missing teacher Shelley Mook, Bobby Smelcer and Antonio Taylor are teaming up this weekend to again search parts of Bedford County. They are calling it "The Massive Search for the Shelbyville Missing."

Taylor has been missing since 1999. Smelcer vanished last November. And most recently, Mook was last seen dropping off her child at her ex-husband's house in February.

Organizers are asking people to help look for anything that may have been overlooked in the woods or creeks previously.

If you would like to help, volunteers are meeting at the Bedford County Agriculture and Education Center at 7 a.m. Saturday.
