AIMEE FORTNEY'S SLOW ROASTED RIBS
1 slab of pork ribs (spare ribs)
Dry rub (cayenne, paprika, garlic salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, allspice)
1 cup orange juice
Rub dry rub all over ribs and place in roasting pan. Pour orange juice around sides and cover with aluminum foil. After three and a half hours, (check to see if done) brush barbecue sauce of your choice over ribs. Roast for about four hours total at 275; until the ribs fall off the bone when pulled gently with a fork.
AIMEE FORTNEY'S HOMEMADE FROM STORE BOUGHT ICE CREAM
1 half gallon container of vanilla ice cream
2 bananas, sliced (or chopped)
2 cups chocolate chunks
1 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
2 teaspoons banana extract
Soften vanilla ice cream in a large bowl. Stir in banana extract and bananas, chocolate chunks and walnuts. Put ice cream back into store-bought container to refreeze. You can do this with any flavorings and candies that you like. Stir chopped candy bars and vanilla or almond extract into coffee, chocolate or vanilla ice cream. Stir chopped peppermint candies and peppermint extract into vanilla ice cream or chocolate ice cream. You can put anything into any flavor ice cream that you enjoy, to make your own homemade treat!
