Man wanted for questioning in Holly Bobo case arrested

Posted: Updated:

We are hearing new details about what may have happened to Holly Bobo in those moments police believe she was forced from her home.

The information comes from Holly's parents, who suspect at one point even a decoy was used to confuse investigators.

Karen and Dana Bobo spoke on CNN Thursday night, just as police in Minnesota arrested a sex offender wanted for questioning in her disappearance.

While police are downplaying any direct connection between the sex offender and Holly, her parents have new insight into her apparent abduction.

Bobo's father says investigators know whose blood was found outside their home where Holly disappeared April 13.

"After a few weeks they did tell us that that blood did belong to our daughter," Dana Bobo said.

He also has a theory about that lunch bag found at the scene of her disappearance.

"As far as a lunch bag found that far away, I believe that was just a decoy to maybe lead them away from where they really went," he said.

But Bobo's mother admitted even they don't know all the details of the investigation.

"The way I understand it, it's Tennessee law that the TBI doesn't have to share any information with you if a case is ongoing so we don't receive much information at all," Karen Bobo said.

The Bobos also talked about Holly herself and why the 20-year-old woman is missed so much.

"Loved being outside, riding four-wheelers, pretty much a homebody and loved doing things with her family. Sunday was always our day, go to church and have lunch together, sometimes a movie or ride four-wheelers or something like that. We were together all day long, usually on Sunday," her mother said.

As for the sex offender questioned, his name is Victor Wall. The 43-year-old was found Thursday at his girlfriend's home in Minnesota.

He was released from prison a few years ago, moved to Perry County and was living near Bobo's home.

When Bobo vanished, authorities set out to locate all the sex offenders in the area to question them. That's when they realized they couldn't find Wall.

But investigators now say they have no reason to believe he has any connection to Bobo's disappearance.

Karen and Dana Bobo are scheduled to appear Saturday morning on NBC's Today show. You can view the interview on Channel 4.
