Mother disputes charges in arrest over patdown at BNA

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Clarksville mother arrested earlier this month after refusing a full body scan for her young daughter at Nashville International Airport now says she didn't do anything wrong.

Andrea Abbott released a statement through her attorney Friday saying a security guard bullied her when she tried to protect her daughter from a patdown she feared would be invasive.

Guards accused her of trying to take cellphone video of the patdown, but Abbott said she was simply texting her husband about what was happening.

Abbott's attorney is accusing the TSA of violating her freedom of speech by having her arrested for disorderly conduct.
