Musicians Hall of Fame finds new home

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Musicians Hall of Fame has found a new official home. It will be setting up shop in the historic Municipal Auditorium.

The museum was one of the properties bulldozed to make way for the new convention center.

Museum owner Joe Chambers has gone to court to get fair market value for the property he lost. The legal dispute over the value has not been settled yet, but the museum deal has been settled.

The new spot will be re-named the Musicians Hall of Fame at Nashville Municipal Auditorium.
Many musical greats have played at the venue including Elvis and Bob Dylan just last year.

The next step is signing up sponsors to help with the cost of rebuilding.  Chambers says they could possibly open the new Musicians Hall of Fame as soon as the end of the year.
