Richard Wilson, indicted on federal cocaine charges last month, resigned as an officer with the Metropolitan Police Department on Friday, according to a police department release.

Wilson, 31, was indicted on federal cocaine charges June 15 and was immediately decommissioned following a Metro Police and FBI sting operation.
