Deputies with the Cannon County Sheriff's Office discovered a large marijuana growing operation while investigating a tractor theft Saturday.

According to the Cannon Courier, police said the drugs were valued at about $250,000.

Deputies said they were looking to interview residents on Payton Lane in connection with a reported tractor theft when they discovered some marijuana plants being grown in flower pots.
